Carl on the stage
I feel very lucky to be invited to speak at a variety of events. Whether it’s delivering keynote conference speeches, encouraging young people into enterprise, launching high profile campaigns, or holding motivational sessions for businesses, I love sharing my expertise and experience in a bid to inspire and inform.
Recent speaking engagements include delivering the keynote speech for the annual conference for Tribal, a leading provider of public sector services in the UK and internationally, and the Bradford Telegraph and Argos Business Awards which saw me deliver an after dinner speech and entertain the crowds. I have also recently spoken for: West Lancashire District Council, Weber Shandwick, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Pinsent Masons, Business Link, The Institute of Fundraising, Leeds Metropolitan University and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Carl in the media
With appearances on Four Rooms (C4), This Morning, The Big Question, Richard & Judy (C4), Calendar and many regional radio appearances under my belt, I am accustomed to the media spotlight and not afraid to voice my opinion on live TV or radio. Be it talking about enterprise, launching a business or commenting on BBC1’s The Apprentice, I always have something to say. If you’re looking for a media spokesperson, get in touch. Why not follow me on twitter?
I’d just like to say THANKS VERY MUCH for a really informative, relaxing and sharply delivered event. The wealth of information that was delivered in Carl’s inimitable ’straight talking’ way was hugely helpful in many areas. Also, being a small company, it was definitely ‘therapeutic’ to hear some similar problems and issues voiced and solved in such a relaxing and intimate setting. I have to admit that I don’t attend many network/seminar events and I’ve come away with a real purpose to attend more. Your event was the yard stick – so I reckon other people’s need to be shit hot!”Danny Bulmer, Date of Birth – creative design and marketing communications
My style is often described as ‘no-nonsense’ and ‘refreshingly sharp’. I definitely don’t do fluffy management speak. In fact, the language I often use is the sort of stuff that might make your old aunty blush – but I do know how to behave if asked.
But whatever I speak about, whether it is sharing my journey from council estate kid to Secret Millionaire or advising business owners on how to market themselves, I aim to provide straight-forward, understandable and actionable advice delivered with a good dose of humour.
Because of my experiences I can provide key insights into success despite obstacles. So if you’re looking for someone to captivate a crowd and leave them feeling energised and inspired, I’m your man. If you want to find out what I can do for you then drop me a line.
