Young people to be honoured at housing association awards ceremony

A group of housing associations is set to celebrate the dedication and commitment of some the young people it works with at an awards ceremony.

The Airport group, an informal alliance of 14 like-minded, stock transfer housing associations, is holding its second annual Young Flyers awards on Wednesday 16 November at The City of Manchester Stadium and has invited Carl Hopkins to be a guest speaker and judge.

Carl Hopkins leads creative search for the London 2012 Olympic mascot for Yorkshire

As one of the region’s best known marketers, Carl Hopkins, has been asked to help choose a Yorkshire mascot for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Carl was approached by Welcome to Yorkshire, the official tourism agency for the region. Their 2012 team Yorkshire Gold, is working with the London organising committee of the Olympic Games on a competition to create a customised Yorkshire version of Wenlock and Mandeville, the official London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic mascots.
