I’m lucky enough to regularly be invited to speak at a variety of events. Whether it’s encouraging young people into enterprise, launching high profile campaigns, delivering keynote conference speeches or holding motivational sessions for businesses, I love sharing my expertise and experience in a bid to inspire and inform.
Recent keynotes and event hosting include: The launch of Enterprising Britain 2009, West Lancashire District Council, Weber Shandwick, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Pinsent Masons, Business Link, The Institute of Fundraising, Leeds Metropolitan University, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and several appearances as a Make Your Mark Ambassador.

19 January 2010 - Natwest 'Real Help for your business' event
Carl received a call from Natwest at 6pm the night before this event asking him to step in as motivational speaker. He was delighted to accept the offer in place of the original speaker who was unable to attend due to severe fog at Jersey airport!
The event, which was hosted by NatWest for 170 of their SME business customers, aimed to inspire and educate on topics including social media, planning for success and preparing for the upturn.

8 December 2009 - Hillrich Seminar
Further to enthusiastic feedback on Carl's presentation at the Kirklees Business Conference, organisers Hillrich decided to run two extra seminars (one from Carl and one from Nicky Pattinson) centred on targeted and specific support and advice for the individual delegate and their business.
The seminars took place at the Galpharm Stadium and consisted of a full morning session with just 30/40 delegates in each. Carl's sesssion focused on answering marketing specific questions that delegates had sent in prior to the day.

19 November 2009 - One Voice Conference
Carl Hopkins was invited to deliver the keynote speech at the annual conference of the One Voice network in County Durham.
The One Voice Network aims to help support the partnership between the Voluntary and Community Sector Infrastructure Organisations and provide a strong and influential voice for the sector and to represent its views where appropriate. The network consists of the main infrastructure organisations (councils for the voluntary sector) as well as front line organisations and community groups.

November 19 2009 - Keynote Speech, Sharing the Success Celebration
As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Carl was invited to deliver the keynote speech at a celebratory event for Sharing the Success, the Leeds Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI).
The purpose of the event was to bring together businesses that have been established with help from the Sharing the Success programme; since it began in April 2007 around 300 new businesses have started in some of the city’s most disadvantaged areas.

13 November 2009 - After Dinner Speech at the launch of the BBC and Big Lottery Fund Village SOS
Serial entrepreneur Carl Hopkins was invited to deliver the after dinner speech, together with Judith Donovan CBE, at the launch of Village SOS, a major new initiative from the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) and the BBC.
Village SOS is a search for six UK villages with a great business idea and six enterprising individuals to help them achieve their ambitions. Together they will create a brand new venture that will bring life and energy to the village, with funding of up to £400,000 from BIG.

Lancaster University Young Entrepreneurs' Society (LUYES) is a friendly and active society that aims to encourage enterprise amongst students and provide a forum for students to exchange ideas and learn new skills. It is one of the largest, fastest growing and most popular societies at Lancaster University, with around 400 students signing up to be a member each year.

Brighouse-based entrepreneur Carl Hopkins was invited to take part in the inaugural Kirklees Business Conference, which took place on Tuesday, September 29, at the Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield.

Every now and then Carl Hopkins gets invited to do the honours of handing out awards to deserving pupils at schools and colleges across the region. Being the decent sort of chap that he is, he usually agrees and the most recent college to request Carl's attendance Freeston Business and Enterprise College in Wakefield.

12 June 2009 - West Lancashire District Council, Coffee with Kloog
Following on from his keynote speech at the Enterprising West Lancashire’s ‘Positive Women’s Day’, to celebrate the strength of the female entrepreneurs in West Lancashire, Carl Hopkins was invited back to hold his own personal ‘Coffee with Kloog’ sessions.
These sessions, held at the West Lancashire Investment Centre in Skelmersdale, gave the West Lancashire businesses a 'no froth' appraisal of their business and marketing activity. The around the coffee table chat, gave a fresh insight into their propositions and sales message.
